Yemenite Pita Bread

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix yeast, warm water, and sugar; let foam for 10 minutes.

  2. Add olive oil, then gradually mix in flour and salt until slightly liquid dough forms.

  3. Let rest for 30 minutes.

  4. Preheat oven to 450°F. Line trays with parchment, dust with flour.

  5. Oil hands, shape dough into 12 pitas, place on trays, dust with flour.

  6. Bake 15 minutes.

  7. Cool in a towel, then store in Ziploc bags and freeze if desired.
